We are an Aston Martin Specialist restoration company that focuses on the restoration of the 'David Brown & Feltham era' Aston Martin. However, we are sometimes commissioned to work on other classic cars owned by our clients from the 50s- 80s.

Our work is concours-winning; our attention to detail and commitment to high-quality craftsmanship are paramount, demanded by both our clients and us. Therefore, we are only interested in hiring the most experienced individuals. You must have experience working on classic Aston Martins and other reputable marques.

Skilled Classic Car Fabricator

Key Responsibilities:

Utilise hand power tools to fabricate and assemble classic car components with precision.
Perform welding tasks, including TIG & MIG welding, to ensure the structural integrity of metal parts.
Work with ox settling, for brazing work on brass material.
Experience using a Global jig or similar to measure and understand tolerances.
Panel making and beating, with experience using shrinkers/stretchers and an English wheel.
Maintain an organised workspace and adhere to safety standards throughout all tasks.
Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve fabrication issues efficiently.
Apply mechanical knowledge and basic math skills to ensure accurate measurements and fit.
Work with and shape ash wood on earlier cars (preferred but not essential).
Lead loading (preferred but not essential).
Experience using a tablet-based workshop system for clocking on/off jobs (preferred but not essential; training will be provided).
Part of a forward-thinking team. (As a small business, teamwork and understanding what it takes to be involved in classic car restoration are important factors.)
Trustworthy and capable of working on your own when required.

Qualifications:

Proficient in hand tools and power tools for fabrication tasks.
Strong welding skills, particularly in TIG welding.
Solid mechanical knowledge and basic math skills.
Experience with sheet metal work and assembly processes.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality craftsmanship.

Hours: full-time (Mon-Fri) with the opportunity for overtime when required. A part-time position would also be of interest.

Pay is negotiable depending upon experience.

Experienced Upholsterer/ Trimmer

Key Responsibilities:

Carefully understanding the original makeup of the various eras of trim. Including specialist preservation work on original trim.
Pattern, make and fit bespoke convertible hoods, tonneau covers and hood bags.
Pattern, bind and install high-quality carpets throughout each vehicle.
Be competent in component fitting, such as safely removing and reinstalling the interior trim and brightwork, such as interior door handles and window fixtures.
A precise attention to detail, with a keen eye for symmetry, stitch alignment and tension to meet strict classic restoration concours standards.
A basic understanding of vehicle assembly to safely disassemble and reassemble.
Maintain an organised workspace an adhere to safety standards throughout all tasks.
Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve trim issues efficiently.
Experience using a tablet-based workshop system for clocking on job cards. (preferred but not essential, as training can be provided).
Be able to work as part of a forward-thinking team. Being a small business, working as a team and understanding what it takes to be involved in classic car restoration are important factors.
Trustworthy and capable of working on your own. Being customer-facing, often interaction with client visits, to expand on work undertaken.
Ability to work in awkward positions, inside and outside vehicles, as well as standing for long periods and heavy lifting.

Qualifications:

Proficient and confident in using industrial sewing machines, as well as hand-sewing techniques to construct or rebuild seats and other trim parts.
General knowledge and experience using general hand-tools and specialist upholstery tools.
An expert knowledge in the variety of materials used within Aston Martin's. Including the delicate handling of historically accurate materials, such as leather, vinyl, mohair and carpet materials.
Attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality craftmanship.

Classic Car Technician

Key Responsibilities:

Carry out specialist restoration work, servicing, inspection and maintenance of Aston Martin cars between the 1950s to early 2000s, as well as other marques.
Perform mechanical disassembly and reassembly of all mechanical parts. With a high importance of originality, with finishes, parts used.
Being able to conduct thorough inspections of vehicles, along with road test reports to assist with estimations and ongoing restoration projects.
Knowledge and care required to refit chrome work, body panels, interior trim and other components during the restoration. Where high levels of care and attention are essential.
An understanding of electrical systems, including the fitting and connecting of the wiring looms and other electrical components.
Forward thinking with a good knowledge of parts and services, working closely with the parts manager to ensure parts are co-ordinated efficiently.
Self-motivated, able to work efficiently and meeting deadlines. Often high profile concours events around the world.
Prepare vehicles for client delivery, road use, concours and touring events.
Work collaboratively with other members of the team to troubleshoot and resolve any issues.
Maintain high levels of workshop organisation, cleanliness and tool control.
Ensure accurate documentation of work carried out and parts usage.
Experience using a tablet-based workshop system for clocking on/off jobs (preferred but not essential, as training can be provided).
Be able to work as part of a forward-thinking team. Being a small business, working as a team and understanding what it takes to be involved in classic car restoration.
Trustworthy and capable of working on your own. Being customer facing, often interaction with client visits, to expand on work undertaken.
Ability to work in awkward positions, inside and outside vehicles, as well as standing for long periods and lifting heavy objects. Adhering to safety standards throughout all tasks.

Qualifications:

Experience as an automotive/restoration technician.
Strong mechanical competence across engines, transmissions, suspension, electrical and braking systems.
Experience working on classic vehicles, preferably Aston Martin cars.
Ability to work methodically with excellent attention to detail.
Pride in producing high-quality workmanship.
Positive team attitude and strong communication skills.
Willingness to learn, develop and take ownership of tasks.
Full, clean UK driving licence.

We also close the workshops at 1:30pm on a Friday, to enable our staff to have a great work/life balance.
