The Tadek Marek V8 engine was ready for the DBS V8 after seven years of development, catapulting Aston Martin into the supercar territory and thus based on some road tests, made it the fastest production car at the time. 

This was the last model with four headlights and referred to as the Series 1 V8. The V8 range ran up until 1989, the longest running engine range produced by Aston Martin.

Aston Martin DBS V8 'DBSV8/10070/RC' was first registered on the 1st of November 1970 with the registration 'EVT 244J'. 

The V8 was equipped with a Bosch fuel injection system with a 5-speed ZF manual gearbox and air conditioning which are all retained today.

8 former custodians from new with one custodian Mr Nigel Grice who raced the V8 in sprints such as Goodwood, Loton Park, Wiscombe Park and Curborough, from 1999 until 2016. Mr Grice owned the car from 1994 up until 2014.

Recent works totalling over £10k, with Richards of England, prior to being brought for sale. Major service carried out as well as other mechanical works including the replacement of the front wheel bearings, replacement of the cam covers and new tyres throughout.
